Treats, as we know them

For Six Word Fridays, my first attempt:

For Emma, only candy could qualify.

For Connor, a sleepover with friends.

For Todd, so many things please.

For me, our “do-nothing” weekends.

Life, exactly as it is now.

  1. Welcome to our diverse and talented little community! This poem speaks volumes in so few words. My favorite line? “Life, exactly as it is now.”

    • That last line was inspired by two quotations that remind me to appreciate my life, as it is, right now:

“Her happiness, like that of most of us, was ever in the future, never reached but always coming.”
      –Anthony Trollope

“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things only hoped for.”
